GiD can read and write data according to the specific needs of each individual code.
The GiD environment can therefore support an unlimited number of different numerical simulation codes. This is extremely useful for companies, universities and R+D centers utilizing a variety of in-house or commercial software.

GiD is developed using C++ and OpenGL and is optimised for the best performance possible in UNIX        workstations (Silicon Graphics, Digital Alpha, Unix, Sun, HP, AIX) and PC computers under Windows or        Linux.

  • Windows

      Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME or XP
Pentium 32MB RAM, 30MB hard disk space, 3 button mouse recommended
SpaceBall supported, just installing its drivers

  • Silicon Graphics

      IRIX 6.2
SpaceBall supported, just installing its drivers

  • Linux

      Kernel version 2.0.30 or higher
SpaceBall supported. Look here for installing the SpaceBall.

  • For other UNIX platforms please contact us.
